This Privacy Policy explains how Novatech (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use the NscDelivery mobile application and the website delivery.novatechsai.com (together, the “Service”).

By using the Service you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are and our role

NscDelivery is a software platform that delivery businesses (“Businesses”) use to manage their orders, drivers and customers. Novatech operates the platform.

For account information (such as your name, phone number and sign-in details) we decide how it is used. For order and operational information that a Business enters or manages in the Service, the Business decides how that information is used and we process it on the Business’s behalf. If you have a question about how a specific Business handles your information, you can also contact that Business directly.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we collect the following:

  • Account information: name, phone number, email address, password (stored only in hashed form), profile photo, preferred language and, for drivers, vehicle type.
  • Sign-in information: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive an account identifier and, where you allow it, your name and email address from that provider. Apple may give us a private relay email address.
  • Verification information: your phone number and the one-time codes we send to it by SMS or WhatsApp.
  • Order information: pickup and drop-off addresses and map coordinates, names and phone numbers of senders and recipients, package descriptions, amounts and fees, notes, photos (for example of a package, a receipt, a delivery or damage), signatures, delivery PIN confirmations, ratings, and price offers exchanged between customers and Businesses.
  • Driver location: precise location while a driver is on duty, as described in the next section.
  • Financial records: cash collected, purchase amounts, fees and settlements that users record in the Service. We do not process card payments inside the app.
  • Business information: when you request a business account, the business name, logo, city, contact phone number and expected team size.
  • Device and technical information: device model, operating system, app version, push notification token, IP address, time zone, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

3. Driver location data

Location is central to a delivery service, so we want to be precise about how we handle it:

  • A driver’s location is collected only while the driver has switched to “On duty”. When off duty, no location is collected.
  • While on duty, Android shows a persistent notification and iOS shows the location indicator, so the driver always knows tracking is active.
  • Location is updated every few minutes when the driver is idle, and more often during an active order, so that the route and arrival time can be shown.
  • The location is visible to the admins of the Businesses the driver is on duty for. During an active delivery, the customer and recipient can see the driver’s position on the tracking screen or tracking link.
  • The position recorded at each order status change (for example “Arrived at drop-off”) is kept with the order record as proof of the delivery steps.
  • Location history is kept for up to 30 days and then deleted, except positions attached to order status changes.
  • Drivers can stop location sharing at any time by going off duty, or by changing the location permission in their device settings.

Customers and admins may also share a location when choosing an address on the map. That location is used only for the address and is not tracked.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: creating accounts, managing Businesses and teams, creating and dispatching orders, and showing order status.
  • To recommend drivers to Businesses based on distance, workload and reliability.
  • To send notifications about orders, invitations, requests and subscriptions by push notification, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To verify phone numbers, secure accounts and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To calculate the amounts to collect, driver balances and settlements.
  • To provide customer support and resolve disputes about orders.
  • To monitor, fix and improve the Service, including through crash reports and aggregated statistics.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our contract with you (providing the Service); our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure, improving it and resolving disputes); your consent (for example location and push notification permissions, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings); and compliance with legal obligations.

6. How information is shared

  • Within a Business: admins see the information of their drivers and customers that relates to their Business. Drivers see what they need to complete an assigned order, such as addresses, contact names, phone numbers and amounts to collect. Customers see their order status and, during delivery, the driver’s first name and position.
  • With recipients: a tracking link shows the order status, the driver’s first name and, during delivery, the driver’s position.
  • With service providers that operate parts of the Service for us: cloud hosting; Google Firebase and Apple Push Notification service (push notifications); Google Maps Platform (maps and address search); Twilio (SMS and WhatsApp messages); Resend (email); and Google and Apple (sign-in). They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
  • For legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or Novatech.
  • In a business transfer: if Novatech is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction under this policy.

7. How long we keep information

  • Account information is kept while your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days. Order and financial records that a Business needs for its accounts are kept, but they are no longer linked to your profile.
  • Driver location history is kept for up to 30 days, as described above.
  • One-time codes expire within minutes and are then deleted.
  • Backups are rotated and overwritten on a regular schedule.

8. Security

We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, time-limited links for photos and limited staff access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to fix issues quickly.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing. You can also:

  • Edit your profile in the app at any time.
  • Turn location and notification permissions on or off in your device settings.
  • Go off duty (drivers) to stop location sharing.
  • Leave a Business you no longer work with or order from.
  • Delete your account, as described below.

To make a request, email us at support@novatechsai.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app from Settings → Delete account, or by emailing support@novatechsai.com from the email address or phone number linked to your account. If you are the owner of a Business, you will first be asked to transfer ownership or close the Business.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. Driver and business accounts must belong to people who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where they live. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. When they do, we take steps to make sure your information stays protected as described in this policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app before they take effect.

14. Contact us

For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact Novatech at support@novatechsai.com.
